On the train’s side External Side Displays show the trains destination, but may also show information about the train’s calling pattern.

Public Address

An internal loudspeaker system ensures audio information to the passengers. This includes automatic announcements such as announcement of the next stop as well as operational announcements from the driver and the train control centre to inform the passengers e.g. about operational restrictions or delays.

Intercom facilities

Separate communication between the driver‘s cabs can be established.

Passenger Emergency Communication

Passengers can contact the driver via talk-back facilities e.g. in the entry area. Communication is controlled by the driver who can terminate the conversation and/or
put a passenger on hold in order to talk to other passengers.
